Description[]
Lealil are arboreal monsters that spend their entire lives in the canopy of dense rain-forests. They are talented climbers, and have gecko-like fibers on their paws that allow them to stick to even the smoothest surfaces. They are rather slow, and rely on camouflage rather than flight to avoid predators. They feed on insects and a variety of plant life.
Females born in the same clutch may stay together in the same tree for their entire lifetimes, forming close bonds. When they become gravid, they will seek out another tree close by, lay their eggs, and return to the place of their birth. Males will disperse upon birth and spend their lives navigating the canopy, searching for mates.
Using their leaf-like ears and tails, these reptilian monsters are easily able to camouflage themselves in dense greenery. Lealil have the chameleon-like ability to turn different shades of green and brown; They will often turn the color of their body to match the bark of a tree.
